Ephraim is a singer/ songwriter who currently lives in the US.
We became friends when we both lived in Spain some years back. It was one of those friendships that was natural. Kindred spirits. Our families went on vacations together, spent many long nights playing cards and drinking Spanish beer, deep conversations that would last long into the night, travelled to Belgium to see Queens of the Stone Age, and so much more. I was in a cover band while living there (Mama Zulu!) and he let us use his garage for a practice space. He’s the kind of friend who you would call up when some crazy shit went down and you needed some SpecOps-level help. I feel like we’ve already lived multiple lifetimes in the duration of our friendship. Life has changed a lot since those days, but we’ve done well to keep an important and lasting friendship.
This past month he released a four-song EP called “It Will Be Ok”, produced by Urban Bros Records in Rota, Spain. These songs are a product of a particularly heavy period in his life and he used music as the energy to produce art. This conversation is about music, creativity, friendship, and life.
