Made a short film with a great friend,
.I wrote and directed.
He did the cinematography, sound design, score, and a majority of the editing.
About my friend: Homie is a natural.
It's amazing to stumble upon such profound creative partnerships. Ideas fall from the sky, we speak or write them into existence. And when the right person catches these ideas they use their own inspirations and ideas and technical abilities. They want to be a part of it. They want to see it dug from the earth and come to light as much as you do. And they see it in a different way than you do. They want to be part of a project that tests their abilities and pushes them to learn more and to understand more about art, or the world, about each other, about themselves. They will fill in gaps you couldn’t see and make you view the project from different angles.
They say "let's do that shit".
And we go out and do that shit.
An idea which was once nothing, existing in the mind-o-sphere is now something.
Me with my lofty thoughts, often intangible and cnidariac1 and abstract, searching for a skeleton.
with feet planted firm and square on the ground, equipped with the technical prowess of a professional… a skeleton, a foundation. The ensuing process and partnership is intoxicating. Through a mutual friend we found an actor, a local guy from Chania, Crete named Manolis Marketakis, tying together the projectYou can wander for years in the wilderness looking for a specific tree to turn into a house. Or you can cut down the first motherfucker you see and make it up as you go.
We have no idea what were doing, but we're having fun.

I made this term up, I think, a “cnidaria” being an animal without an internal skeleton, a jellyfish or squid. By adding a suffix, “c”, giving it adjective-like qualities and thus useful for my explanation. I think.
Awesome write up. I agree with you on all fronts. Often with these things you just have to say "send it." We did. Cheers my good brother.
