Of all the things one can be, curious might be the best.
It postures you to keep your mind open and flexible. Curiosity keeps you in a constant learning state.
It urges you to put in the work, because you want to find the answer.
It disciplines you, because in order to find the answer you have to be organized and consistent.
It reminds you to pay attention and to be more aware, because answers can come from anywhere in the outside world, or from the inner one.
It reminds you to treat others well, at least as much as you can. Because kindness and generosity are a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. The more you nourish this relationship the more kind and generous you are to others. And the more this happens the more doors will open in your favor.
The more curious you are, the less likely you are to hate, to judge, to throw shade, to talk shit. To be curious means to understand that perfection is a myth, and we’re all in a constant state of building, re-building, and change.
The more curious, the more creative. The most creative people I know are also the most curious. They are constantly searching for answers. They are not satisfied until they find what they are looking for, or solve some kind of problem.
When you’re curious you position yourself to learn as much as you can, to read far and wide, watch all kinds of videos and films and movies, take courses, travel, talk with others. And with all of this in your brain you figure out connections between seemingly unrelated things. You and your experiences are just slightly unique from the next person.
Almost everything you see and use was built out of someone’s curiosity.
You can choose to be many things in life.
Choose curious.
Until Next Time,
Tyler
